Indian Immigration - Under Indenture  1879 - 1916

Between 1879 & 1916 when the last labour ship arrived, 60 000 Indians landed in Fiji. 87 journeys began in India with workers bound for girmit - an agreement of 5 yrs servitude in Fijii
